Lorene “Nanny” Miller, age 85 of Brownwood, Texas died, Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Miller will be cremated under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Florence Lorene Tusing was born May 8, 1924 in El Monte, California the daughter of the late Edward and Mae Coate Tusing.  Lorene married Marty Miller on August 23, 1941 in Las Vegas, Nevada; he preceded her in death March 23, 2009. Miller retired from Burbank, California Schools after 30 years of service, she moved to Brownwood in 2008 and was a Methodist.

Survivors include:

Daughter: Geri Schultz and husband Norm of Brownwood

Son: Martin Miller, Jr. and wife Angelique of California and Jackie Montgomery of California

Grandchildren: Suzette Wathall of Brownwood, Michael and Michelle Hess of California

Great grandchildren: Dakota, Braden and Cooper Wathall all of Brownwood

Preceded in death by her parents, husband and a grandson, Brian Hess
