Brownwood’s Peter Le placed fourth in boys singles at the Region I-4A tennis tournament Thursday, dropping his final match Borger’s Benjamin Madden, 6-2, 6-1.

Le reached the third-place match by  defeating Diego Perez of El Paso Bowie (6-1, 6-0) and Jeremy Ward of Wichita Falls (6-3, 7-5) before falling to Maddux Foster of Andrews (6-2, 6-2) – all on Wednesday.

Also competing at regionals for Brownwood were the boys doubles team of  River Prado and Jacob Singleton,who opened with a victory over Jon Saenz and Luis Tarango of Fabens (6-3, 6-2), then fell to Landon Lowrey and Armando Moreno-Ortega of Burkburnett (6-3, 5-3 [retired]) on Wednesday.

Brownwood’s girls doubles team of Emma Delgado and Raylei Hickey was downed by Yadira Sarinana and Nathaly Rodriguez of Monahans (6-2, 6-1) Wednesday.
