Funeral Services for Cora Lorene Minica, age 83, of Zephyr  will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday February 10, 2010 at the Greenleaf Cemetery with Aaron LeMond officiating, interment to follow under the direction of Davis Morris Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Minica passed away Monday February 8, 2010 in Brownwood.

Lorene was born January 20, 1927 in Brown County, Tx to John Calvin and Cora Irene (Goins) Egger. She married Oliver “Bud” Minica on March 28, 1941 in Brown County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Zephyr Church of Christ.

Lorene is survived by four children, Jimmy Minica and wife Teresa of Zephyr, Jackie Osbourn and husband Carrol of Valley Springs, Jody Teague and husband Andy of Blanket, and Larry Minica and wife Betty of Early; ten grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; a sister, Billie Mae Smith of Abilene; two brothers, Willie C. Egger of Zephyr, and Johhny Egger and wife Flora of Abilene; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oliver “Bud” Minica; a daughter, Barbara Judy Minica; grandson, Jimmy Wayne Minica; and a sister, Lucille Newcomb.
