Kimberly Ann Slaughter

Kimberly Ann Slaughter, age 56, of Brownwood, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023 in Abilene. A memorial service for Kimberly will be held at 2PM on Monday, March 27 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.

Kimberly was born to Shirley Ann and James Carroll Slaughter on October 3, 1966 in Brownwood. She graduated from Bangs High School and became a caregiver in the surrounding communities. She worked at Becky’s Daycare in Comanche, Bangs Nursing Home and several other caregiver positions during her working career. She enjoyed watching crime shows and had been a Girl Scouts leader.

Kimberly is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Nicole Dutton and Brittany McElhaney of Brownwood; siblings, Craig Slaughter, Johnny Slaughter (wife Sue), Jana Slaughter, Sherry Carmack and Wesley Carmack (wife Donna); grandchildren, Jamie, J.J., Triston, Jasmin, Austin, Tyler and Devin; great-grandchildren, Sofia and Grace, as well as many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Kimberly was preceded in death by both of her parents.
