Junior Howard White

howard_colemanJunior Howard White, age 88, of Coleman passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 12, 2013, at Coleman County Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm, Friday, November 15, 2013 in the Tom G. Walker Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jeff Dean officiating and visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday at Walker Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery.

Mr. White was born July 29, 1925 in Brown County, the son of the late Clarance White and Mary Pearl Jones White. He graduated from school in Brown County and later married Wilma Lee Steffey on December 24, 1944 in Santa Anna, Texas. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy. Mr. White retired after many years of working for Martin Brick Company in Coleman. He was a member of the North Coleman Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon.

He is survived by:

One son, Howard Lee White and wife, Donna of Coleman.

Five grandchildren – Mona Watts, Sharri Ashley, Donny White, Bobby White, and Stefanie White

Eleven great-grandchildren – Brandon Watts, Amanda Fabbani, Ryan Ashley, Victoria Ashley, Donald White, Ryan White, Bradley Jennings, Lacey Jennings, Colten White, Chelsey White, and Soren Jenkins.

Four great-great-grandchildren – Brayden Watts, Hailey Watts, Paisley Watts, and Aubrey Fabbani.

One sister – Wanda Steffey of Coleman

One brother – Roger White of Coleman

Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wilma, and four brothers, JC White, Carl White, Otha White, and Jerry Don White.

Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Coleman.
