Jon A. Carson Sr., age 75 of Brownwood, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. His family will host a private memorial at a later date.

Jon was born on July 8, 1947 in San Antonio. He attended Texas State University in San Marcos and then served in the Air Force. Jon married Mary Lou Meyer on October 28, 1988 and they began their life together uniting their families. Jon was a man of many interests and hobbies throughout his life.

Jon is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Carson; children, Jon A. Carson Jr. and wife Stephanie of Bangs, Sandelynn Chovanetz and husband Eric of Rockwall, Gary Meyer of Krum; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Brownwood Public Library.
