Hector was born June 8, 1973 in Comanche, Texas to Hector C. and Margarita Vasquez. He graduated from Comanche High school and attended Texas A&M University in College Station where he studied Political Science. Hector had a larger-than-life personality. He enjoyed meeting people and trying new things. He was beyond compassionate and extremely generous, although he was ambitious and very goal oriented, he never put money above human kindness. Hector loved to play poker and enjoyed traveling. He was a smart dresser and always seemed to find unique things to wear. He cherished his mother above all things. They had a very close bond. Hector enjoyed sports and loved going to football games. He was extremely self-confident and an optimist by nature who always saw the good in everyone and gave everyone the benefit of the doubt. He was a man of his word and very loyal to those he cherished.

Hector is survived by his girlfriend, Deidre Danielle Smith of Ruskin, Florida; son, Carson Hugh Vasquez of Fort Worth; mother, Margarita C. Vasquez of Stephenville; sister, Lirio Nelon and husband Anthony Scott of Early; nieces, Ashten T. Frias of Fredericksburg & Lauren Hernandez of Austin; nephew, Cristian Hernandez of Early; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
