IMG_3142The Pecan Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross held its 3-on-3 Basketball benefit tournament on Saturday at Brownwood High School with an array of participants.

Ten teams faced off for fun and sometimes competitive games of basketball.  Team entry fees, sponsorships, and admission helped to raise money to benefit the local chapter of the Red Cross.  All proceeds will stay local and support the important programs and services of the American Red Cross including Disaster Relief and Education, Health and Safety Training and Military Communications in Brown, Mills, McCulloch, and San Saba Counties.

The teams and participants were as follows: East Side Ballers (Ashley Maya, Tessa Newton, Teneal Hall, and Lacy Rogers), C.W. (Dwight “Spud: Holloway, C.J. Villegas, Cliff McGuire, and Jeremy Holloway), Heart of Texas Internal Medicine “Hotties” (Tom Byrd, Steve Oines, David Walker, and Josh Gilbert), Bruner Auto Group ( Marcus Proctor, Lewis Stoddart, Jason Morgan, and David Morgan), Blanket Beats ( Jerod Ramirez, Cameron Prater, Justin Storey, and Jonathan Ortega), BRMC “Brick Breakers” (John Sharp, Kyle Swift, Cluade Furry, Matt Boswell), Chamber LOCOmotiveS (Stephen Haynes, Michael Richardson, Juan Ozuna, and Mark Campbell), The Squad (Anthony Deal, Jackie Galloway, Jackie Galloway Jr, and Barry McDonald), BRMC “Air Balls” (Jason Woodard, Colby Puckett, Alan Strickland, and Jason Strickland), Red Cross “Survivors” (Minnie Franklin, Damian Jefferson, Shareka Randle, and Johnathan Nickerson)

Sponsors for the event were Benefit Planning Insurance, Brownwood Janitorial & Fire Extinguisher, Draco’s Janitorial Service, Jeannett Chesser, Kroger, Lake Brownwood Lions Club, Larry G. Pullin – State Farm Insurance, Longhorn Auto Sales, Sonic Drive-In, Texas Bank, Trans Texas Tire, and Union Presbyterian Church.

See our photo gallery below for about 100 photos from Saturday’s 3 on 3 tournament.
