LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, October 2, 2013.

Tuesday, October 1

*8:27 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of 8th Street regarding found property.  According to the report, the calling party had found two iPhone chargers and a pair of yellow framed sunglasses at the corner of 8th and Avenue L.  The property is believed to be from recent vehicle burglaries in the area, the report states.

*11:32 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3500 block of Surrey Lane regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

*2:29 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Idlewild regarding criminal mischief.

*4:24 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of 3rd Street and Avenue H regarding a civil dispute.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she was having a property dispute with her husband.  Further investigation revealed that the caller was a victim of family violence, the report states.

*4:49 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2400 block of Cottage Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

*5:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding an assault with injury.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he had been assaulted by a co-worker at a local restaurant.

*9:23 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 8th Street regarding trespass and possible theft of property.   According to the report, an unknown male was inside her backyard trying to steal her dog.  The theft of the dog was stopped by the homeowner; however other property had been stolen by the suspect, the report states.

*5:36 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence regarding the injury to a child.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his juvenile son had been injured by the child’s stepfather and stepbrother.  The incident is pending investigation, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Zachary Delarosa of Early on a warrant related to failure to appear/motion to revoke/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*35-year-old Shylo Brandette Durbin of Zephyr turned herself in on a warrant for theft-aggregated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Michael Wayne Hays on a warrant related to failure to appear/theft and for motion to revoke/burglary of a building.

*Brownwood Police arrested 26-year-old Edgar Martinez for assault with bodily injury house member 2+ within 12 months.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Jamie Nelson of Colorado on a LaPlata County warrant related to larceny.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 34-year-old Anthony Paul Zimmerman on a warrant related to ran stop sign.

Wednesday, October 2

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Marvin Harris of Bryan on a Brazos County warrant related to sexual assault.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
