The Cowboy Capital Rollergirls are wrapping up their 2013 season with only two more bouts at Lone Star Arena in Stephenville remaining, and are now recruiting.  They are now a proud member of the Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby Association (WFTDA) and are approaching $10,000 in donations that they have made to the community this season.

The CCR are recruiting the following groups:

  • Women 18+ (No experience necessary)
  • Men/Women 18+ to becoming skating referees (If getting hit isn’t for you)
  • Men/Women 18+ as non-skating officials/statisticians (If you’d rather keep your feet flat on the floor)
  • Men/Woman of all ages to volunteer at events

The Cowboy Capital Rollergirls are a 501(c)(3) with no paid staff. The group is entirely volunteer run, skater owned and operated.  If anyone needs volunteer hours for an organization, they can help; contact the Cowboy Capital Rollergirls today by email on their Facebook page for details.

The Cowboy Capital Rollergirls are a regional amateur women’s flat track roller derby team.  They are approximately 30 members strong, who are from as far away as Dallas to Santa Anna.  The team merged with the Brown County Debu’Taunts in January of this year.    They have their “home” bouts at both the Brownwood Coliseum and Lone Star Arena in Stephenville.  The league practices in Stephenville at the roller rink on Tuesdays and on Thursdays along with occasional Sundays at the Brownwood National Guard Armory.

The Cowboy Capital Rollergirls have team members currently in the following areas: Santa Anna, Brownwood, Goldthwaite, Dublin, Stephenville, Tolar, Granbury & Dallas.

For more information about the Cowboy Capital Rollergirls, click here to visit their website.  For a list of their last two bouts, click here.
