Brownwood Police Department Animal Control officer Judy Williams received her certification for tranquilization (chemical immobilization) of animals after completing a 16 hour course on September 10th.

According to Williams, the class was held at the Dallas Zoo and covered information on how to safely use tranquilization when catching stray domestic animals to even immobilizing bears.

Williams stated that she enjoyed the class and passed the test with “flying colors,” having only missed one question.  The class was taught by Zoologist Dr. Douglas Armstrong.
