andrusJosie Andrus, age 70, of Brownwood went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, in Fort Worth.

Services for Josie will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at The Father’s House in San Saba with Bobby Duncan officiating. A private interment will follow at a later date.

Josie was born on August 8, 1943, to Leslie T. Young and Jewel Pierce in Austin. Josie was a Christian woman who served for the Lord and was a member of the Abundant Life Church in Brownwood. She was a caregiver for many folks. Her family was her world and will be greatly missed by them.

She is survived by her husband, David Andrus; her children, Deidra Ann Yarbrough-Lawson, Gerald Allan Yarbrough and wife Ruth of Carlsbad, N.M., Bobby Duncan and wife Shari of Merkel; six granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters along with other relatives.

She is preceded by are parents, Leslie T. Young and Jewel Riggs; step-father, Lee Riggs; sister, Annie Faye Galloway; and brothers, Leslie J. Young, Archie Riggs, and Jackie Riggs.

Family and friends are invited to make online condolences for Josie at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
