Brown County Sheriff’s Report: Nov. 7

On Friday, November 4, Sgt. Andre Smoot contacted a complainant, about 3 missing cattle. Complainant stated the cows had been missing for approximately one week. Pertinent information was gathered, and an information report was completed.

On Friday, November 4, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Deputy John Geis was dispatched a walk in at the LEC. This was to handle a call involving a restraining order. Information was gathered, and report was made.

On Saturday, November 5, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle a cattle call on a property on 2800 block of CR 411 W in May, TX, 76857, which did not belong to the owner. The cattle were estrayed and taken to the law enforcement center. Information was gathered, and a report was made.

On Saturday, November 5, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to Harbor Dr. This was in relation to a criminal mischief. Information was gathered, and report was made.

On Saturday, November 5, Deputy Rita Duaine responded to a 911 call of sexual assault. A victim had reported two separate sexual assault and identified two separate suspects. Information was gathered, and a report was made.

On Sunday, November 6, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle a loose livestock at FM 1467. A cow was in the roadway had been run onto the property to get it off the roadway. The cow is an all-black Heifer with a yellow ear tag, displaying 377. Information was gathered, and a report was made.

On Sunday, November 6, Deputy Rita Duaine was dispatch to a 911 call of burglary. A complainant reported s suspect was in her house. Deputy Duaine gathered information, a report was made, and the suspect was arrested for Criminal Trespass of Habitation.

On Monday, November 7, at 1:21 a.m., Deputy Ricky Herring was dispatched to West US Highway 67. This was in reference to an assault victim, who was assaulted by her husband. When she attempted to dial 9-1-1, for emergency assistance, the phone was taken from her. Upon arrival information was gathered, and a report was taken for Assault Family Violence and Interference with Emergency Call. The suspect had left prior to arrival.
