Barbara Nell Wagnon Huey

huey2Barbara Nell Wagnon Huey, 72, of Kaufman, TX, went to be with her beloved Savior Jesus on Sunday, July 28, 2013.

She was born to the late Burl Bates and Edna Pearl Wagnon of Brownwood, TX, on January 9, 1941, in Brownwood, TX.

Barbara graduated from Crane High School in 1959. She continued her education at the University of North Texas and earned a double major in business and music. She also received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Amberton University. She married the late Bill Huey on September 18, 1971, and they lived together in Kaufman County, TX.

Barbara had such a heart for people and loved and accepted everyone unconditionally.    Therefore, she spent most of her life pouring into others. She worked at Terrell State Hospital for many years with substance abuse patients. She also worked with abused children in several child advocacy centers. She had a private practice and taught high school for one year in Big Lake, TX.

Barbara attended and loved worshipping at her church, First Assembly of God in Kaufman, TX. She loved to give and bless others, and was very generous. She supported many children through various organizations.

Barbara is survived by her two sisters, Wanda Wagnon Beaver and Judy Wagnon Bieroth& husband, Jim, all of Carrollton, TX; her step-son Bill Huey Jr.; her four nieces and one nephew, Robyn Beaver of Austin, TX, Jodi Bieroth Averitte of Azle, TX, Jennifer Bieroth O’Steen of Grapevine, TX, Jan Touchberry of McKinney, TX, and Dustin Beaver of Carrollton, TX. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to an organization that Barbara had supported since 2001, Latin America Child Care.  Memorial contributions may be sent to LACC, 1445 N. Boonville Ave, Springfield, MO  65802-1894

The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at Eastlawn Memorial Park, Early, TX. Reception will follow at Early First Baptist Church. Condolences for the family may be left at www.davismorrisfuneralhome.com.
