Rich Pollander

A Celebration of Life for Richard Dennis “Rich” Pollander, age 77, of Brownwood, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 31, 2022, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.

Rich passed from this life on Thursday, October 27, 2022, In Brownwood.

Rich was born to Charles and Catherine “Cass” (Simpson) Pollander in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.  He graduated from Gloucester High School.  On November 23, 1979, Rich married Linda Stewart in Bellmawr, New Jersey. In his early years, He worked as a Union Pipefitter for D.J. Keating in Philadelphia, in Saudia Arabia (Riyadah) King Faud Palace in 1978, and Barrons Iron Works in Gloucester. Later, he and Linda moved to Texas and started L&R Remodeling.  Rich was a Catholic.

Rich enjoyed remodeling and woodworking, surf fishing in Brigantine, New Jersey, watching pro football, wrestling, hunting, guns, speedboats on the Delaware River, buying new cars, going to the casinos in Atlantic City, and feeding cows with his friend Paul. He also loved vacationing on the beaches of Mexico, family trips to Cape May, and family picnics and barbeques at his Aunt Dot’s in the summer.

Rich is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Pollander of Brownwood, two sons, Steven Pollander and wife Donna and Eric Pollander, both of Gloucester, two daughters, Jennifer Ognibene of Medford, New Jersey and Christine Peters and her husband Scott of Brownwood, eleven grandchildren, Nicholas, Alex, Kyle, Dean, Morgan, Paige, Erin, Andrew, Lauren, Christian, and Gracie; nine great-grandchildren, two sisters, Cathy “Bea” Staiano of Gloucester, New Jersey and Lynn Gannon of Berlin, New Jersey, and two brothers, Charles Pollander of Florida and Bruce Pollander of Gloucester, New Jersey and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Corrine T. Smith Animal Center in Brownwood or to the American Heart Association.
