Reminder – 2nd Annual Brown County Mule Deer Foundation Banquet Set for August 3rd

TexasMuleDeer2The Brown County chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation will hold their 2nd annual fund raising banquet August 3, 2013 at the Grand Starz Hall on Belle Plain.

There will be a live auction, silent auction, raffles and games, rib-eye steak dinner and an open bar. Couples tickets are $60 and single tickets are available for $40.  Twenty guns will be raffled and auctioned, along with a black bear hunt, a mule deer hunt, a Cabo, Mexico vacation beach villa and many other valuable items.

Sponsor tables available for $400 and gold tables will receive a Henry Golden Boy rifle for $850. Call Russ Porter 325-642-1644.

All funds raised will be used for West Texas mule deer projects and Brown County 4-H shooting sports.

Mule deer are the only declining big game animal in the US. The Mule Deer Foundation is working hard to turn this around with projects such as, habitat restoration, highway crossings, fawn tracking and predator control projects.
