Brownwood’s High School Eligible Girls Win State Softball Tournament

Brownwood team competed in Texas Teenage Softball (TTAS) High School Eligible Girls State tournament on July 12-14 in Hillsboro and secured the state championship.

The team went undefeated in bracket games beating Early 7-0, ASU 11-7, and Bosqueville 3-1 to earn the state title. Leading the team were head coach Albert Gomez, assistants Albert Larrea, Pete Sanchez, and Doug Finnigan.

Six members of this team also attended a 14-U ASA state tournament in Sugarland on June 14-15, winning that championship as well.
