Danny Atchison, age 67, of North Lake Brownwood peacefully passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones.

A Celebration of Life for Danny will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel; a private family interment will be held at a later date in Ruidoso, NM. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Danny was born to D.L. and Laura (Taylor) Atchison on July 12, 1955, in Perryton, Texas and moved to Odessa when he was a child. He graduated from Permian High School in 1973. Danny married his high school sweetheart, Robin Barnhill Atchison, on March 31, 1973.

Danny owned and operated Property Damage Appraisers for a number of years; he then went to work for Pilot Catastrophe for 21 years. After he retired, he moved to North Lake Brownwood. He was very avid fisherman and hunter. Danny was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Danny is survived by his wife, Robin Atchison of North Lake Brownwood; daughter, Dawn Abbott and husband Keith of Andrews; son, Ryan Atchison and wife Kasondra of Frisco; grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley, Hayden, and Ryan II; and great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Alessa, and Haley. He was preceded in death by his parents, D.L. and Laura.
