Brownwood Municipal Development District

Board of Directors Meeting

1:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2022

Council Chambers, City Hall
501 Center Avenue, Brownwood, Texas

The proceedings of the meeting will be as follows:

Item 1. Call the meeting to order.

Item 2. Election of Board Officers – President, Vice President and Secretary – for the

2022/2023 Fiscal Year.

Item 3. Items to be withdrawn.

Item 4. Introductions, Announcements and Recognitions.

Item 5. The Board will consider approval of the minutes:

  1. BMDD regular board meeting – September 20, 2022

Item 6. Report on the Texas Tech University Brownwood Recruitment & Academic

Advising office – Lisa Caldwell

Item 7. Approve funding the conversion of tennis courts to pickleball courts at Coggin

Park.

Item 8. The Board will review the following reports:

  1. Checklist – September

  2. Income Statement – September

  3. Event Center Expense Report

  4. Loan and Incentive Summary – September

  5. Sales Tax – Paid in October

  6. Unemployment numbers

  7. Project Updates and Activity

Item 9. The BMDD Board may convene into a closed executive session in the

Haynes Conference Room, pursuant to the provisions of the Open

Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Government Code Vernon’s Annotated, in

accordance with the authority contained in the following section:

Section 551.071 – Consultation with Attorney

Section 551.087 – Deliberations regarding economic development negotiations

  1. Discussion of a possible Building Improvement Incentive Program grant to new businesses.

  2. Discussion of a possible Building Improvement Incentive Program grant to new businesses.

  1. Discussion of a possible Building Improvement Incentive Program grant to new businesses.

  2. Discussion of a possible Downtown Retail Opportunity Program grant.

Item 10. The Board will reconvene into Regular Session in the City Council Chambers to

take any action deemed necessary as result of the Executive Session.

Item 11. Adjournment.
