Council Finance recently received Top Volume CDC Lender from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Lubbock District office.

Council Finance processed approximately $1.5 million in loans to two small businesses in the Abilene area. As it stands now, they are on track to more than double that amount to three small businesses in the Abilene area. Council Finance participated in 8 projects for the Fiscal year 2012, with a total project cost of $16,735,000.00.

“We are very thankful to all the bankers and small businesses that made this possible. It is truly a team effort,” said Daniel Hutson, Council Finance.

Council Finance is authorized by SBA to participate in the SBA 504 loan program. The SBA 504 loan program lends money to small businesses for fixed asset purchases. The program offers low down payment, a low-fixed interest rate, and long term maturities.
