Caroline Jo Pennington went to be with our Heavenly Father September 12, 2022.

Caroline was born August 10, 1953, in San Angelo, Texas to Billy Joe Pennington and Bessie Faries. She graduated from Big Lake High School and went on to attend Angelo State University where she got her degree in nursing. Caroline was a RN for 40 years working in Big Lake Hospital, San Angelo Hospital, Midland Hospital, Austin Hospital, and Brownwood Hospital.

Caroline is survived by her brother, Billy Ray Pennington and wife, Charlene, brother in-law Johnny Watkins, nephew Cody John Watkins and wife Coral and kids, Cheyanne, Caitlyn, and Colten, niece Lori Watkins, Uncle Carl Pennington, Uncle Harold McCutchen, Aunt Sandra Pennington, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Timothy Matthews, and sister Virginia Watkins.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Hendricks Continuing Care for their kindness and professionalism. They would also like to thank Silver Spring for taking care of Caroline for the short time she was with them.

A graveside service will be held Monday September 19, 2022, at Coleman Cemetery at 11:00 am.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home Davis-Morris Chapel in Brownwood.
