WORSHAMCHASE KESSINGERKEVIN MEYERWILLIAM

According to Brown County Sheriff’s reports, on Monday, Sheriff’s Deputy David Varner initiated a traffic stop due to a driver not signaling properly at the intersection of Fisk and Carnegie.  During the stop, three occupants were identified, 19-year-old Chase Worsham, 22-year-old William Meyer, and 20-year-old Kevin Kessinger.

Reports state Worsham, the driver, was removed from the car in order to conduct the traffic stop.  When he and the other occupants of the car were questioned about their destination, they all had different answers.  Worsham was asked if there were any illegal drugs in the vehicle, to which he answered no.  When asked for consent of a search of the car, Worsham did not agree to such reportedly.

Reports further stated that Deputy Stroop was contacted to run K-9 Izzy who alerted the officers to a positive presence of narcotics and the vehicle was searched.  An empty Marlboro pack was found which contained a small clear plastic baggie of white substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, with a weight of .07 grams.  Also found in the car were two smoking pipes with white powder residue.

All of the men arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, less than 1 gram in a drug free zone, due to the location of the stop near Howard Payne University, a higher education facility.
