Dewey Lee Moore, 84, of Brownwood, Texas passed away Monday, August 29, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 31, 2022 in the Rocky Creek Cemetery, Brownwood, Texas.

Dewey was born January 20, 1938 in Armona, California to Ronald and Oneida Moore. He attended school in California and married Claudine Stevens on February 16, 1957. They began a life together that blessed them with 2 children. Dewey moved to Texas to go to work for IBM where he was in the production and integration department. When he retired, they moved to Brownwood where he spent the next 30 years. Sometime after Claudine passed away in 2011, Dewey found a loving friendship with Betty Jordy. They were inseparable and took care of each other through the Golden years. Dewey was a fun-loving man who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved the Lord and was very good at answering questions about the Bible. Dewey was a member of the Haven of Hope church in Brownwood. He was a story teller in his own right, you could sit and listen to him talk for hours. He loved his family and friends, but most of all he loved his Betty Sue.

Dewey leaves behind a daughter, Cindy Wright; son, Roger Moore; grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Henry; great grandson, Hayden Coleman; his close friend, Betty Jordy; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dewey was preceded in death by his wife, Claudine Stevens Moore.

Online condolences, tributes and memorials can be shared with the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.
