Early to host 25-team TTAB 8U Coach Pitch State Tournament beginning July 11

The 25-team Texas Teen-Age Baseball 8U Coach Boys Coach Pitch Tournament will be held at the Early City Park July 11-15.

Teams in the field include the Early Horns, Brownwood Braves, May Tigers, Goldthwaite Black Eagles, Axtell Longhorns, Belton Hooks, Belton Mariners, Belton Yankees, Brownwood Braves, Buffalo Bison, Chandler Solid 9, Crawford Pirates, Colorado City Komets, Early Horns, Emory Rampage, Gatesville TJ Electric, Hawkins Hawks, Hillsboro Dawn Pound, Leon Cougars, Mildred Titans, Quitman RipShot, Riesel Indians, Temple Prime, Temple Red Raiders, Valley Mills Eagles, Van Legends, and West Cottonwood Air.

An opening day ceremony will take place at the Early City Park at 7 p.m. Sunday, free to the public. Events include team introductions, team photos, a home run derby sponsored by Hit Man Baseball – Coach Blake Sandford, and a movie on the 14U field with popcorn.

Concessions will be open for drinks and snacks.

Volunteers are still being sought and those interested can call the Visitors & Events Center to sign up or sign up online at https://signup.com/go/xjVnSSA.

The coaches meeting will take place at 4 p.m. Sunday when the bracket is finalized. The schedule can be found at 2022_B8U_Coach_Pitch_State_Early_7-6-2022.pdf (sportngin.com) and it will be updated throughout the week.
