Esperanza Alcorta

alcortaEsperanza Espinosa Alcorta left this earthly world to be with our Father in Heaven on Saturday, April 27, 2013.

Funeral services for Esperanza E. Alcorta will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rosary will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, with visitation to follow until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Esperanza Espinosa was born on July 12, 1949, to Desiderio and Margarita Espinosa in Bustamante, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Esperanza was married to Jose V. Alcorta on Nov. 9, 1968.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband; her son, Jose Alcorta Jr. and wife Becky of Early; and daughters, Norma Alcorta of Pflugerville, Patricia Sanchez and husband Jose of Brownwood and Maggie Alcorta of Pflugerville. Esperanza is survived by her grandchildren, Alexis Sanchez, Amber Sanchez, Aaron Sanchez, Nicolas Alcorta, Christian Alcorta, Danielle Alcorta and Christopher Fernandez. Esperanza is survived by her sisters and brothers, Nohemi Cavazos, Leticia Gamboa, Margarita Torres, Maria Elena Medina, Guadalupe Torres, Desiderio Espinosa, Leonel Espinosa; and several nieces and nephews.

Esperanza is preceded in death by her grandparents, Desiderio and Margarita Espinosa; and one brother, Samuel Espinosa.

Esperanza enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her greatest enjoyment was cooking for her family and playing with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were the love of her life.
