belvinMary Lou Belvin, age 86, of Brownwood went to be with the Lord on Sunday April 28, 2013 at Oakridge Manor.

Graveside services for Mary will be held at 3:30 on Wednesday May 1, 2013 at Bangs Cemetery with Richard Hetzel officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 P.M. Tuesday evening at Blaylock Funeral Home.

Mary was born to Lee and Georgia Yarbrough on October 11, 1926 in Bangs, Texas. Mary was the Bangs High School Class of 1944 Valedictorian and graduated from Howard Payne University. She worked as a bookkeeper for many different organizations throughout Texas and was a member of Lake Brownwood United Methodist Church. Mary married Homer Belvin on June 3, 1949, together they had two children. She was a loving wife and mother.

Survivors include her son Ricky Belvin and wife Bonnie of Brownwood; daughter Helen Lacy and husband Mark of Early; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Homer Belvin and her parents.

Condolences may be left for the family at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made to charity of one’s choice.
