The Brownwood Art Association will present their annual Spring Exhibit of local artists from April 14-20 at the Art Center, located at 215 Fisk Avenue in downtown Brownwood.

The exhibit will open Sunday, April 14th from 1:00-4:00 PM and will run Monday through Saturday 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM through Saturday, April 20th.  Additional hours on Tuesdays and Thursday of 6:00-8:00PM will be offered.

Art enthusiasts will have an opportunity to not only view outstanding talent but also to  purchase fine art from a local artist to add to their collection.

In addition to the variety of local artist for the Spring Exhibit, the BAA is honored to feature their “Artist of The Year” Martha Middleton of Brownwood.

Middleton is a multi-medium artist working in acrylic, oil, pastel, and watercolors. She graduated from Howard Payne University, working as a social worker with a minor in art.  After her retirement in 2004, she opened her own studio.  Middleton is a member of the Brownwood Art Association and is heavily involved in the local art community, serving as a board member and helping plan fundraisers.
