Below are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.

Lake Brownwood

Water lightly stained; 58–64 degrees; 11.00′ low. Black bass to 6 pounds are good on redbug and green pumpkin Grande Bass soft plastics, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits around docks in 3–5 feet. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are excellent on minnows and jigs off Kirkland docks and at Wild Duck Marina in 15–25 feet. Crappie are excellent on minnows and watermelon tube jigs over brush piles, off Kirkland docks, and at Wild Duck Marina in 5–18 feet. Channel catfish are slow. Blue catfish to 8 pounds are good on trotlines baited with live bait in 5–10 feet. Yellow catfish to 40 pounds are good on trotlines baited with live bait in 5–10 feet.

Lake Coleman

Water lightly stained; 58–62 degrees; 14.27′ low. Black bass are fair on soft plastic lizards, crankbaits, jerkbaits, and electric blue worms. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie

Water stained; 59–64 degrees; 36.77′ low. Black bass are fair on shakyheads, jigs, Rat–L–Traps and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs and Rooster Tails. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.

Lake Proctor

Water lightly stained; 58–62 degrees; 5.76′ low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on small spinnerbaits and minnows. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait and fresh shad. Yellow catfish are slow.
