The Early Longhorns wrapped up their regular season with a 9-8 victory over Comanche Friday night and will head into the playoffs as the No. 2 seed from District 8-3A.

The Longhorns (17-4, 12-2) will face District 7-3A third seed Bowie (22-9, 8-4) in a Region I-3A baseball bi-district playoffs series next weekend at Stephenville High School. Game 1 is slated for 7:30 p.m. Friday with Games 2 and 3, if needed, to begin at noon Saturday.

Also Friday night, the Bangs Dragons concluded their baseball campaign with a 12-2 loss to Dublin.
