Hank Richard Cannon

Hank Richard Cannon, age 64, of Brownwood, passed from this life on Thursday, April 28, 2022 in Temple, TX. His family will host a visitation on Sunday, May 1st from 6 to 8 pm at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. A Graveside service will be Monday, May 2nd at 2pm in the Rockwood Cemetery, Rockwood, TX.

Hank was born on Saturday, August 3, 1957 in Bakersfield, CA to Melvin Cannon Jr. and Virginia Booth. He attended school at Abilene Cooper until he joined the US Army. Hank married Melinda Howze on April 2, 1994 in Brownwood, TX and the two of them began a life together that blessed them with 2 children. Hank and his son Caleb were season ticket holders to the Brownwood Lion Football Games. Hank was a very outdoorsy person, enjoying camping, hiking, fishing and loved watching the birds. He loved ministering God’s word to all of those around him. Hank was a member of the Freedom Fellowship Church in Early. He was also an ordained minister with the Southwest Texas District Pentecostal Church of God.

Hank is survived by his wife Melinda Cannon of Brownwood; daughter Rachel Cannon and fiancé Jonathan of Brownwood; son Caleb Cannon of Fort Hood; 2 sisters, Judy Michon and husband Art of Santa Anna, Belinda Washington and husband Prezell of Santa Anna; 2 brothers, Garrey Cannon and wife Pam of Midland and Kenneth Cannon of Santa Anna; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Cannon Jr; mother Virginia Deal and stepfather Joe Deal.
