David Carl Goins, age 66, of Fort Worth, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Texas Health Hugley Hospital in Burleson.

He was born April 6, 1956, in Brownwood, the son of Carl and Wanda Nell (Dukes) Goins. He began working as a tree trimmer at a young age moving to Fort Worth and continued in that work most of his life. He was a hard worker and will certainly be missed. He enjoyed going to Flea Markets, also setting up booths and selling items. He liked to bar-be-que and spend time with family and friends and especially enjoyed his time with his nephews and nieces.

He is survived by his three brothers, Donald Goins of Fort Worth, Danny Goins of Bangs, and Harold Baldwin of Fort Worth, two sisters, Darlene Chambers and Wanda Dupre both of Fort Worth and numeral nieces and nephews. Aunts and Uncles include Mary Allison, Barbara Funderburg, Ellis Goins, Teresa Simpson, Mary Ann Massey, and Lonnie Goins, Bob Russell, Jerry Russell, Ernest Russell, and James Russell and wife Nedra and Estelle Campbell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Peggy Bethke, and a niece, Savannah Chambers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, at 2 PM in the Davis-Morris Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home in Brownwood with burial to follow in the Jordan Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, from 6 – 8 at the funeral home.
