Teagan Lopez tossed a five-inning no-hitter for Early (23-6, 11-3) with 10 strikeouts and three walks.

At the plate, the Lady Horns tallied two runs in each of the first two innings, seven in the third and tacked on three more runs in the fourth.

The Lady Horns will face either Henrietta or Jacksboro out of District 7-3A in the bi-district round of the playoffs, as the two teams finished the regular season tied for third place.

Meanwhile, the Bangs Lady Dragons shut down Eastland, 4-1, and moved back into a tie for third place in the 8-3A standings with Peaster, which fell at Comanche, 12-11.

Bangs (14-8, 9-5) and Peaster (10-7, 9-5) will meet at 5 p.m. Saturday in Eastland to determine the district’s third and fourth playoff seeds.

In the Lady Dragons’ win, Bangs broke a 1-all tie with a run in the bottom of the third inning, then tacked on two insurance runs in the fourth.

Bangs mustered just four hits – two from Abby Wolf and one each from Jacee Miller and Sierra Lorah – but drew 10 walks. Wolf and Lorah collected RBIs for the Lady Dragons.

Wolf also went the distance in the circle, giving up one run on five hits with 11 strikeouts and one walk.
