STEPHENVILLE – The District 4-4A runner up Brownwood Lady Lions and Brownwood Lions soccer teams both came up on the short end of their regular season finales Tuesday, falling to the 4-4A champion Stephenville Honeybees and Yellow Jackets.

The girls dropped a 2-0 decision to slip to 12-5-2 on the season and finished district with a 6-3 record. The Lady Lions will open postseason action against Midland Greenwood at 5 p.m. Friday, March 25 in Sweetwater in bi-district action.

The boys were handed a 5-0 defeat and will enter the playoffs with a 7-11-2 overall mark after a 4-5 district effort. The Lions will battle Lubbock Estacado at 7 p.m. Friday, March 25 in Sweetwater in their bi-district match.
