The Lady Dragons of Bangs High School represented their school well at the Regional Girls Powerlifting meet on Saturday, March 2 in Gatesville with one qualifying for State competition and others placing well in their classes.  The team is led by Coach Meredyth Meador.

Amber Jones placed 2nd overall, competing in the 148 lb class and lifting a total of 730 lbs.  She will compete March 15 & 16 in Corpus Christi in the State Powerlifting meet.

123 lb Class
Lakyn Dent – 9th with a total of 495 lbs

165 lb Class
Courtney Owen – tied for 3rd place with a total of 645 lbs
Mercedes Hinze –  tied for 5th place with a total of 630 lbs

181 lb Class
Ebony Patrick – 4th with a total of 680 lbs
Emily Brown – 6th with a total of 620 lbs
