Early ISD honored Dr. Michael and Mrs. Crystal Neel with an appreciation presentation at the EISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) meeting on February 6th.

The Neels have funded the “Aim For Success” Program for Early High School and Early Middle School for several years.  Aim For Success is an independent, non-profit , educational organization that promotes sexual abstinence and a lifestyle of excellence by encouraging the development of self control, self respect, and self discipline    The program encourages students to develop strong, responsible character and equips them with the tools to make the right choices for success in life.

“EISD is most appreciative of the Neel’s continuous support of our students’ well being,” said Susie Cooley of Early ISD.

In addition to this recognition, the council members reviewed the purpose and 8 components and modules of the SHAC, which are:

  • School Health and Safety Policies & Environment
  • Health Education
  • Physical Education & Other Physical Activity Programs
  • Nutrition Services
  • Health Services
  • Counseling, Psychological, & Social Services
  • Health Promotion for Staff
  • Family and Community Involvement
