Funeral services for James Floyd “Jim” Hullum, age 79, of Brownwood, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 12, 2022, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends on Friday, February 11, from 6:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home.

James passed from this life on Friday, January 28, 2022, in Brownwood.

James was born on November 28, 1942, in Brownwood, to Lloyd and Pauline Hullum.  When he was born, he was not expected to live and spent many months in a children’s hospital.  Pauline believed and trusted in God that her son would have as normal a life as possible.  He went on to graduate from Brownwood High School in 1964.  James worked J.R. Beadel Transfer and Storage, Superior Cable, and retired from Kroger after a number of years.

James was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, Brownwood R.E.A.C.T. Two-Way Radio Club, and was a severe weather spotter.  He loved fishing, hunting rocks, and woodworking. James was a member of the Early First United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Loyd Hullum.

James is survived by his best friend, Corky Bryant of Brownwood, a brother, Gary Hullum of Corpus Christi, a nephew, David Flint Hullum of Arkansas, and a host of extended family and friends.

Condolences, memories, and tributes can be offered to the family online at heartandfuneralhome.net
