Sharon Lynn Shipley

Sharon Lynn Felts Shipley, stepped into the arms of Jesus on Monday, January 10, 2022. Celebration of life: 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Beltway North, 2850 Hwy 351, Abilene TX 79601. There will be no visitation, and there will be a private burial at Elmwood Memorial Park. 

Sharon was born on February 14, 1966 to Dick and Addie Felts in Lubbock, Texas. She was a graduate of Abilene Christian School where she was a cheerleader and ran track. She enjoyed being with her husband, kids, grandkids and being “Honey” was the best job she ever had. She was full of life, love, compassion, laughter, and kindness. Her house was always open, and she was a mother figure to so many. Sharon is loved and admired by many and will be deeply missed by all. 

Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Dick Felts; mother, Addie Rheiner Felts; sister, Sara Felts DuBose; and brother-in-law, Jay Hatcher. 

She is survived by husband of 37 years, Bob Shipley; son, Jordan Shipley and his wife Sunny; daughter, Shelby Nunez and her husband Juan; son, Jaxon Shipley and his wife Blaze; daughter, Addie Jane Thomas and her husband Aaron; grandkids, Mia, Stone, JJ, Steiner, Jones, Swayde, Charlie, Shield and Millie Jane; Sharon’s siblings: sister, Susan Frye and her husband Eddy; brother, Ricky Felts and his wife Kim; sister, Sherry Ratliff; many nieces, nephews and friends.
