Stephen Boyd Hamilton, 49, of Marble Falls, formerly of Brownwood, Texas passed away Friday, December 31, 2021. A visitation with family will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Heartland Funeral Home. Celebration of Life service will be held in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 8, 2022 with Todd King officiating.

Stephen was born March 6, 1972 in Brownwood, Texas to Carl and JoAnn Boyd Hamilton. He graduated from Brownwood High School in 1990, where he loved to play soccer and was a member of the “Eagles Soccer Club ‘72”. Stephen served in the US Air Force and attended basic at Lackland AFB. He was proud to be a mechanic and served as Senior Airman on a F-117A Stealth Fighter receiving awards and special recognition for his service. While stationed in Alamogordo, NM, Stephen married Keisha King and their union blessed Stephen with his two sons. Although the marriage didn’t last, they remained friends and were both active in their sons’ lives. Stephen lived in Utah for a short time with his second wife, Debra Crabb. It was here that he came to love the mountains, being outdoors enjoying nature. He spent a lot of time camping at Sulphur Springs camp in Bend, Texas with his sons. Stephen was a true outdoorsman and was most at peace when he was in the mountains relaxing, cooking outside or watching Liverpool play soccer on the TV. Stephen’s best friend that never left his side, Brodie, deserves an honorable mention. He took Brodie everywhere with him, Brodie has his own seat in Stephen’s truck, and his own place in Stephen’s office where he became the shop watchdog. Brodie was like a third son. As per Stephen’s wishes, his sons plan to spread his ashes in the mountains he loved.

Stephen is survived by his two sons, Trevor Boyd Hamilton of Abilene and Levi Hamilton and wife Sarah of Brownwood; mother, JoAnn Templeton of Brownwood; father, Carl Hamilton of Brownwood; sister, Stephanie Long and husband John of Denton; sister, Jennifer Canada and husband Mark of Austin; half sister through his father Carl, Heather Lewis of Zephyr; nephews and nieces, Riley, Natalie, Kinley, Coralie, Breslin, Zayden, Nolan & Gus; and one grandson, Nathan Hamilton of Brownwood.

Stephen was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, T.C. and Dorothy Boyd; paternal grandparents, A.C. and Marie Hamilton; and uncle Larry Boyd.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Yellowstone Park Foundation at https://www.yellowstone.org/ways-to-give/

Online condolences, tributes and memorials can be shared with the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.
