The State of Texas Comptroller’s office has posted the December sales tax allocation report.  The December report reflects sales taxes collected in October 2021.  Brownwood, Bangs, and Early all received increased sales tax allocations compared to December 2020, but once again the City of Early led the way with a very healthy increase of more than forty percent.

The details of the allocations are below.

BROWNWOOD

The City of Brownwood received $489, 305 in December, an increase of 3.79% over December 2020.  The fiscal year-to-date sales tax allocation (October-November-December) is $1,626,718, up 11.78% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.

The Brownwood Municipal Development District received $162,209, an increase of 5.35% over December 2020.  Year-to-date is $527,220, up 11.84% over last year-to-date.

EARLY

The City of Early received $170,592, an increase of 44.75% over December 2020.  Fiscal year-to-date in Early is $538,473, an increase of 44.11% over October through December 2020.

The Early Municipal Development District received $56,251, an increase of 45.90% over December 2020.  Fiscal year-to-date for the EMDD is $175,821, up 45.32% over year-to-date 2020.

BANGS

The City of Bangs received $16,636, an increase of 20.67% over December 2020.  Fiscal year to date is $57,710, up 21.82% over the previous year-to-date.

The Bangs Municipal Development District received $2,584, an increase of 16.03% over December 2020.  Year-to-date for the Bangs MDD is $8,612, an increase of 22.95% over the previous year year-to-date.
