On December 4th thru 5th, the Sting competed in the Tournament of Champions in Frisco Texas. Sting ended the tournament with 3 wins and 1 draw to become the Division 3 9U Boys State Champions. Benson Brush led the team with 5 goals, Jase Byrd contributed 3 goals, Hudson Doremus added 2 goals and Luke Krischke had 1 goal. Weston Blanks had numerous saves throughout the tournament. Sting defense only allowed 1 goal entering the championship game. Krischke scored the game winning penalty kick and Blanks had 5 straight saves on penalty kicks to solidify the victory.
