Michael “Mike” Wayne Locke, age 64, of Brownwood passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, in Abilene.

Celebration of Life for Mike will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home; private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Michael was born of November 9, 1957, to Monroe Edward Locke and Willadine (Meyer) Locke in Austin. He married Peggy Sue Peel on February 14, 1995. Mike worked at the hospital in housekeeping for several years, then went to work at the City of Brownwood for several years. He also worked at several different nursing home in Brownwood as a housekeeper for many years. Mike loved being outdoors, fishing, and spending time with his family and especially grandkids.            

Mike is survived by his wife of 26 years, Peggy Locke of Brownwood; children, Leann Roberts and husband Brian of Brady, April Heine and husband Gary of Brownwood, J.B. Harrell of Brownwood, and Tommy Harrell of Brownwood; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Gilbert Locke and wife Kathy of Goldthwaite, Lucinda Pickens of Brownwood, Libby Hobbs and husband Clarence of Brownwood. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and his friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Virgil Harrell; parents, Monroe and Willadine Locke; 1 brother, Alvin Locke; and 4 great-grandchildren.
