SAN ANGELO – The Early Longhorns wasted little time disposing of the San Angelo TLCA Eagles Friday night, rolling to a 72-0 victor that ensured a postseason berth for the second season in a row.

The Longhorns (7-2, 2-2) led San Angelo TLCA (0-9, 0-4) by a 21-0 count after one quarter, 44-0 at halftime and 65-0 through three periods.

Early finished with 380 yards of total offense – 298 rushing and 82 passing – with no turnovers, while the Longhorn defense yielded just 26 yards – 20 on the ground and 6 through the air – with one takeaway.

Jaxyn Price completed all three of his pass attempts for 82 yards with two touchdowns. Jeremy Brown hauled in a 69-yard scoring reception and John-Stewart Gordon finished with two grabs for 13 yards and a trip to the end zone.

Tre Beam returned a kickoff 55 yards for a touchdown and led the rushing onslaught with 102 yards. Franky Villarreal chipped in 54 rushing yards and two scores, Kaleb Ozuna added 48 yards and a touchdown, Vic Cooper rushed for a 36-yard score, Gavin Sanders added a 35-yard scoring sprint, Ryan Parisi tacked on a 20-yard touchdown run, and Price scored on a 3-yard carry.

Next week, the Longhorns will attempt to improve their playoff positioning as they host Wall (5-3, 3-1) – a 35-0 winner Clyde (1-8, 1-3) Friday night – in the regular season finale.
