The Brownwood High JV tennis team defeated Copperas Cove, 10-9, Thursday to improve to 15-10 during the fall campaign.

Boys singles wins were earned by Phil Zorilla (8-4 over Patrick Reed), Logan Baker (8-3 over Jaiden Cruz), Chance Pinkney (8-5 over Will Smith), Fonseca Estupinan (8-2 over Elston Beaton), and Andre Martinez (8-5 over Mico Martinez).

Notching singles wins for the girls were Irlanda Lopez (8-6 over Ella Thompson), Ihana Figueroa (8-5 over Lindsey Spears), Magaly Cervantes (8-1 over Muk Tippanonthakul), Daphne Nance (8-2 over Alice Torres), Angela Dunlap (8-2 over Dakota Sanders), and Savannah Begeschke (8-2 over Samantha Klem).

Doubles victories belonged to the boys team of Zorilla and Baker (8-8 [7-1] over Cruz and Smith), the girls tandems of Figueroa and Nance (8-5 over Tippanonthakul and Torres) and Aqua Garcia and Dunlap (8-5 over Klem and Pastrano), and the mixed doubles duo of Estupinan and Begeschke (8-1 over Beaton and Sanders).
