Donna Louise Watson, age 68, of Brownwood passed away Friday, October 8, 2021. A Celebration of life for Donna will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 13, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.

Donna, more affectionately known as Nonna, was born on July 21, 1953, to Joe and Alice Watson in Waco. Throughout her life, she enjoyed singing, traveling, and reading.

Nonna is survived by her mother, Alice Watson of Lantana; brother, David Watson of Lantana; 3 daughters, Marsha Slaughter and husband Kevin Cogburn of Comanche, Amber Collins and husband Jacob of Brownwood, and Laura Christian of Brownwood; 10 grandchildren, Joe and Crissa Sowards of Comanche, Kelton and Becky Cogburn of Brady, Bradley Sowards of Comanche, Kaleb and Kylie Garner of Brownwood, Lilian and Ryan Walker of Brownwood, Heather and Holly Collins of Brownwood, and Candice and Russell Lankton of Denton. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and a host of other reletives and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her father, Joe Watson; granddaughter, Melody Leah Sowards; and grandson, Nathan Thomas Sowards.
