Downtown Brownwood, Inc. will once again host a tour of historic downtown buildings with their annual Past, Present and Future tour.   Participants will get an inside look at four historic properties to appreciate the rich history that Brownwood has to offer.

The tour will include a visit to Howard Payne University’s Doakie Day Art Center which is the former Coca-Cola plant, the Rogers home on Center Avenue,  the former Banner Printing building, and the home and garden of Hank Hunter on Adams Street, where refreshments will be served.

The Past, Present and Future tour is scheduled for Thursday, December 13th, and the self-guided tour will run from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.  If they wish, participants in the tour may meet at the Depot Civic and Cultural Center parking lot and caravan to the properties. The tour will end in time for participants to  attend the Lyric’s performance of “The Messiah” at Union Presbyterian Church at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets and maps are available at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce office for $8.00 each.  Call Martha at 325-646-9535 for more information.
