Seven sentenced in 35th District Court

The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release Monday regarding felony cases heard in 35th District Court by Judge Mike Smith.

  • Robert Kalaeb Lynch pled guilty to the felony offense of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender: Failure to Report Intended Change of Address – Prior Conviction and was sentenced to 12 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Lynch pled guilty to the felony offense of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Rodney Leatherman pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Assault and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Leatherman, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, was adjudicated and sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Joshua Williams pled guilty to the felony offense of Evading Arrest and Burglary of Habitation and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Dalton Manning pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and was sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Tamra Estess, on probation for the felony offense of Tampering With or Fabricating Physical Evidence, was adjudicated and sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Colton Wayne Benningfield pled guilty to the felony offense of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Benningfield pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Theft – Enhanced and was sentenced to 6 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • John Raymond Wilkerson pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 6 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
