Sunday, November 11

* 8:22am-Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of E. Adams Street regarding a hit and run.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a gray Chevrolet pickup hit his vehicle and then fled the scene.  The complainant was able to provide the suspect vehicle license plate number; however at the time of the report, neither the suspect nor the suspect vehicle had been located.

*11:18am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Vincent Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she had been assaulted the previous day by her common-law husband.  Photographs were taken of the victim’s injuries, the report states.

*2:02pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of E. Commerce regarding found property.  According to the report, a customer was looking at vehicles after hours at a local car dealership when he found a Chevrolet pickup unlocked with keys in the ignition.  The vehicle was locked and the keys were taken and placed into Brownwood Police Department’s evidence room for safe keeping until the dealership could pick them up.

*5:20pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of 13th Street regarding criminal mischief where a front glass window and screen of a residence were destroyed.  Damage was estimated between $500 and $1500.

Monday, November 12

*6:33am-Brownwood Police responded to the report of a runaway juvenile in the 900 block of 16th Street.  According to the report, the mother of the juvenile believed he had left sometime during the night, as he was not home the morning of the report.   According to BPD Assistant Chief James Fuller, the boy and another student from the Brownwood Alternative High School had left the school and were later found at 5:00pm that same day eating at Skinny’s convenience store on W. Commerce.

*4:11pm-Brownwood Police received a report of a missing employee and a tractor trailer from Danhill Containers.  According to the reporting party, the missing person had left Brownwood earlier Monday morning to make deliveries in the metroplex area and that no contact could be made since then, the report states.  The reporting party was worried for the missing employee’s welfare and that of the tractor trailer, according to police.  The reporting party later called the officer and advised that the missing employee had parked the tractor trailer while he went to lunch with an acquaintance; however it was towed because it was parked in a no parking zone, the report states.  The tractor trailer was recovered and the employee was on his way back to Brownwood at the time of the call, according to police.

*7:15pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of W. Main Blvd. regarding a burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant advised that sometime during the day someone broke out a window to gain entry into the complainant’s home.  The complainant looked through her home and noticed an unknown amount of guns were missing along with numerous pieces of jewelry and an unknown amount of liquor, the report states.  During the investigation, two 12 gauge shotguns were located on the complainant’s property in a child’s playhouse, according to police.  At the time of the report, no suspect had been determined.
