Judy Whitley

        Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Judy Whitley, age 68, of Brownwood passed away Monday, August 30, 2021.

          Funeral Services for Judy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Slaymaker officiating; burial will follow at the Paint Rock Cemetery in Paint Rock. Visitation for the family will be held Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Judy was born on December 1, 1952, to Leroy and Eunice (Joyner) Whitlock in Paint Rock, Texas. She married Kenneth Whitley on July 24, 1977. Judy was a teacher, teaching in several different school districts throughout her career. She had a love for the outdoors and gardening. She also enjoyed crocheting and going to the casinos.

Judy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth Whitley of Brownwood; son, Robert Whitley and fiancé Shaina Russell of Brownwood; grandchildren, Hunter Whitley, Raylah Roberts, and Hayden Roberts all of Brownwood; 2 brothers, Don Whitlock and wife Janet of Brownwood, Joe Whitlock and wife Jeanie of San Angelo; and sister, Helen Pope of Bonham. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and several friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Lee Whitley; parents, Leroy and Eunice Whitlock; 1 sister; and 3 brothers.
