Roger Lee Sparks, age 52, of Early passed away Friday, August 20, 2021, at Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood

Private Family Services for Roger will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Roger was born on November 14, 1968, in Brownwood and graduated from Bangs High School. He worked for the Brownwood Police Department in various departments for 12 years.

Roger was a family man, he loved spending every Saturday with his whole family playing cards at his parent’s house. He loved his family deeply, especially his grandkids, they were his world.

Roger was a huge sports fan, he spent most of his time watching football and baseball.

Roger is survived by his mom, Connie Roberts of Bangs; wife, Angela Hughes Sparks of Early; children, Brittany King and husband K.J. of Blanket, Gannon Sparks of McKinney, Latasha Chambers Crawford of Early, Colton Chambers of Early, and Erin Chambers of Early; 5 grandchildren, Kyson and Hunter of Blanket, Bryleigh, Duley, and Maleigha of Early; 2 brothers, Jerry Roberts Jr. and wife Teresa of Bangs, Jackie Roberts and wife Tammy of Brownwood; and sister, Tammy Sparks of Lubbock. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and his friends.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Jerry Roberts Sr.; and sister, Jennifer Newton.
