Brown County Sheriff’s Report – Aug. 17

  • On Monday, August 9, Deputy Mason Fabbiani performed a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Hwy 279 and CR 551. Narcotics were located in the vehicle and on a passenger. The passenger was placed in custody and transported to Brown County Jail. The driver was taken to MHMR.
  • On Thursday, August 12, Lt. Pete Bastardo met with an individual at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center. This was in regards to theft.  A report was taken for theft of a utility vehicle. 
  • On Friday, August 13 at approximately 9:30 p.m. a trespass warning was issued for a residence and property in the 100 Block of County Road 473. This was at the request of the property owner.
  • On Saturday, August 14, Deputy Andre Smoot responded to a disturbance at an RV park involving a weapon. While on scene, it was discovered the original complainant had 2 felony warrants and placed under arrest. A report was completed for terroristic threat.
  • On Saturday, August 14, Deputy Andre Smoot responded to a theft call. A battery was reported stolen and was recovered in a neighbor’s yard. the neighbor was later issued a Criminal Trespass Warning, and a report was completed for further investigation.
  • On Sunday, August 15, Deputy Mason Fabbiani took a report for a missing boat motor, which was taken from a building on County Road 345. Some other items were located at a different part of the property. A report has been made.
  • On Sunday, August 15, Deputy Andre Smoot arrived on scene of an unwanted person at a grocery store. The store wanted a Criminal Trespass Warning issued to that subject and one was issued.
  • On Monday, August 16 at approximately 10:24 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to  CR 604, Brownwood. This was in reference to a theft report and investigation. 
  • On Monday, August 16 at approximately 10:26 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to Dillard Dr., Brownwood . This was in reference to a burglary of a habitation report and investigation. 
  • On Monday, August 16 at around 12 p.m., Deputy Carlyle James Gover arrived at the law enforcement center in regards to a criminal trespass matter, which occurred the previous day. After further investigation, a trespass warning was filled out and a report was made.
